Bikers and skaters moving to San Francisco will be happy to know that in Golden Gate Park, JFK Drive is closed to cars from Stanyan to Park Presidio for half the day on Saturdays and all Sundays.
Nature lovers moving to San Francisco will want to explore the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and food-lovers need to know about the North Beach Festival and San Francisco Street Food Festival. For runners, it’s Bay to Breakers (a cross-city 12K race for serious or well-costumed runners), music enthusiasts moving to San Francisco need to stroll down to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival or the Stern Grove Festival. And when you hear the sonic boom of the Blue Angles overhead, it is likely Fleet Week!
